Se scrivete come singoli lasciatela così, se invece scrivete come gruppi modificate la frase “I responding  as an individual ” in “I responding as a organization nome organizzazione sito web…”

Animal experimentation is useless and often harmful, because it leads to  misleading and unusable results. It gives a false sense of security for the following tests on humans (that  have to happen, according to the law), because animals are different  species, so they react to the substances in a different way compared to  human beings. Each specie is biologically, physiologically, genetically and anatomically  very different from the other ones and data extrapolations from a specie to  the other is impossible.Interspecies experimentation is based on probabilistic laws that are  unsecured.A mistake in medicine can kill a person or thousands of people! In addition, illnesses producted in laboratories are totally different from  the ones that exist in nature, so animal testing is not a valid method to  cure our diseases. In my opinion, the final Directive approved about vivisection is the sign of an human involution more and more evident, because the only directive that  could be humanly acceptable is the one that abolish vivisection on animals,  who are living creatures that feel pain and emotions like us. Save beagles from laboratory breeding farm in Yorkshire

Bantin & Kingman Universal Ltd (B&K) has appealed to the UK’s Planning Inspectorate against its rejected application to build a replacement beagle breeding facility to supply dogs for research.

In June, letters of objection from the BUAV, other animal groups, and thousands of people from Yorkshire, and the rest of the UK flooded in to the East Riding Council Planning Committee to oppose B&K’s application, which was subsequently rejected.

There are many reasons why B&K’s appeal should be rejected by the Planning Inspectorate too. Please help BUAV ensure that B&K’s plans to build a breeding farm supplying beagles for research do not go ahead.

Research on dogs is highly controversial, for both ethical and scientific reasons. Great suffering and cruelty is intrinsic in the breeding and use of dogs in research. This is in addition to distress caused by the confined and unnatural conditions in which the dogs spend their whole lives. B&K’s application states that the dogs will have no outdoor access – at no point in their short lives will they be able to experience fresh air or indulge natural behaviour like smelling grass.

In 2010, 5,782 experiments were carried out on 3,727 dogs in the UK. Dogs in British laboratories are largely used in poisoning tests both for human and veterinary drugs, as well as for agricultural chemicals. Dogs can have substances dripped into their eyes, be fed agrochemicals, or force fed chemicals and drugs in capsules or via plastic tubes inserted through their mouths, directly into their stomach. Some experiments involve rubbing a test substance into exposed skin, as well as infusion studies where the dogs are strapped into a harness for hours at a time while substances are pumped directly into their bloodstream. Animals can suffer adverse effects that result in vomiting, diarrhoea, weight loss, lethargy and organ failure. Some dogs may become so ill that they either die or have to be euthanised on welfare grounds. Those who survive are killed at the end of the test and their bodies dissected.  less
